The city has the lowest share of children of the country’s largest cities, a longstanding trend reinforced by a tech industry that skews young and single. “Everybody talks about children being our future,” said Norman Yee, a member of San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors. “If you have no children around, what’s our future?”
